Vintage white-bordered glazed litho postcard (very like an RPPC) with a view of the heart of Dublin, looking from the South Gate on
George's Street toward the curve. Pedestrians, carts, trams, bicycles all feature.
The corner at right has a magnificent 3-D lion in its architecture.
White caption reads, "SOUTH GATE, GEORGE'S STREET, DUBLIN."
Card published by Valentine, Dublin.
Split back; posted (stamp on front) to an inked address in Albi, France from a stamped address in Rathmines.
Message includes numbers and the words "Vive la France"
(then in the throes of WWI).
Good condition with light edge wear, age, and use. See photos.
